The A-iBUS Slave Addon Module allows Inspinia screens (INS4SQ, INS8SQ, INS10SQ) to integrate seamlessly into the iNELS Bus system. This setup enables Inspinia screens to work as part of iNELS BUS architecture and also helps in protocol conversion and communication between other Building Management System (BMS) components in INSPINIA or Skyplatform. Multiple Inspinia screens can be connected to a single iNELS Bus line, providing flexibility and scalability.
Inspinia Screens: Act as part of the iNELS Bus system.
Protocol Conversion: Achieved via Inspinia screens through Skyplatform and other BMS add-ons.
Multi-Screen Support: More than one Inspinia screen can be connected to the iNELS Bus line.
MiniCU: Central control unit for the iNELS Bus system. CU3-08M,CU3-09M or CU3-010M
iNELS Power Supply: Provides power to the iNELS Bus line.
Bus Separator: Ensures proper communication on the bus line.
iNELS Units: Devices connected to the iNELS Bus.
Inspinia Screens: INS4SQ, INS8SQ, or INS10SQ.
Separate Power Supply for Inspinia Screens: Required unless using Power over Ethernet (PoE).
Ethernet Cable: For connecting Inspinia screens to the Skyplatform .
Connect the MiniCU, iNELS Power Supply, Bus Separator, iNELS Units, and Inspinia Screens to the iNELS Bus line.
Provide a separate power supply for the Inspinia screens or use PoE via an Ethernet cable.
Ensure the Ethernet cable is connected to the Skyplatform for communication.
Verify that all wiring is correctly done.
Ensure the A-iBUS Slave Addon Module shows a green LED indicating proper connection.
Confirm that your iDM software supports the A-iBUS/Slave module.
Update the firmware (FW) of the MiniCU to the latest version.
Update the firmware (FW) of the A-iBUS to the latest version.
Search the iNELS Bus Structure:
Open the iDM software and search for the iNELS Bus structure.
Locate the A-iBUS Slave Addon Module in the bus line.
Save the Project to the MiniCU:
Save the current configuration to the MiniCU.
Design Plane Configuration:
Drag the Universal Unit from the library and connect it to the A-iBUS Slave.
Function Plane Configuration:
Add wires to the desired devices in the iNELS Bus line.
You will see:
32 Bits IN: For binary input values from Inspinia or Skyplatform.
32 Bits OUT: For output states from iNELS to Inspinia screens (e.g., device feedback).
11 Integers IN: For integer values from Inspinia (e.g., temperature or analog values).
11 Integers OUT: For integer values from iNELS to Inspinia.
Save the Project to the MiniCU:
Once wiring is complete, save the project to the MiniCU.
Login to Skyplatform:
Access the Skyplatform and navigate to the Configuration Page for the Inspinia screen.
Add iNELS Bus Addon:
In the top right corner, select Devices and add the iNELS Bus Addon.
Select Slave Device:
Choose the Slave Device from the list.
Design Plane Configuration:
Drag the Slave Device into the design plane.
Use it to connect with the UI and other protocols in the Skyplatform.
Configure Inputs and Outputs:
You will see:
32 Bits IN: For sending binary input values from Inspinia or Skyplatform UI.
32 Bits OUT: For output states from iNELS to Inspinia screens.
11 Integers IN: For sending integer values to iNELS (e.g., temperature or analog values).
11 Integers OUT: For receiving feedback or values from iNELS to Inspinia.
Save the Configuration:
Save the configuration to the Inspinia screens.
Verify Communication:
Ensure all devices are communicating properly on the iNELS Bus line.
Test Functionality:
Test the binary and integer inputs/outputs to confirm proper operation.
Save and Exit:
Save all configurations and exit the software.
No Green LED on Addon Module: Check wiring and power supply.
Devices Not Detected: Verify bus structure and firmware updates.
Communication Issues: Ensure proper Ethernet and bus line connections.
If there is overlapping of device address in the BUS line, you can change the A-iBUS iNELS address via Skyplatform.
The A-iBUS Slave Addon Module enables seamless integration of Inspinia screens into the iNELS Bus system, providing enhanced functionality and protocol conversion. By following this manual, you can successfully configure and operate your Inspinia screens within the iNELS ecosystem.
