Introduction

Inels, in partnership with Inspinia, introduces the new touch control panels. These models, including INS4SQ, INS8SQ, and INS10SQ come in 4, 8, and 10-inch displays respectively. Designed to deliver top-notch smart touch technology, these panels are equipped with the Skythings framework, which operates on Linux or Android systems. Skythings is integral to smart home, building management, and energy management solutions, providing extensive capabilities for integrators through its cloud-based Skyplatform.

Models Overview

Skythings Framework

Skythings is a lightweight, versatile framework capable of running on Linux or Android. It serves as the core software for a range of smarthome, building management, and energy management products. Key features include:

  • Multiprotocol library

  • Logic and math functions

  • Data logging

  • Protocol gateway

  • Centralized management

  • Online icon library

  • Support for up to 2000 data points

  • Scene creation

  • Astronomical time scheduling

  • Scheduled operations

  • VoIP support

  • Flow-based programming

  • Editable UI interface

  • Online/Offline configuration

  • Cloud programming

  • Live monitoring

  • Built-in web server/interface

Architecture

Stand-Alone Configuration

In a stand-alone setup, each touch screen operates independently, utilizing add-on modules to extend connectivity. INS4SQ supports one add-on, while INS8SQ, and INS10SQ support two, enabling simultaneous multiprotocol connections. This configuration is perfect for individual rooms in apartments, flats, offices, and hotels.

Multiple Touch Units Configuration

For installations with multiple touch units, these devices communicate via IP using the Modbus protocol. This interconnection allows each unit to control and monitor the others and their connected devices.

Programming with Skyplatform

Skyplatform is a web-based cloud server designed for managing Inels and Inspinia products. It provides a comprehensive suite of tools for commissioning, modifying, and monitoring devices.

Accessing Skyplatform

  1. Log in with your username and password provided by Inels, or create a new account if you are a dealer or partner.

Creating and Managing Projects

Creating a Project

  1. Navigate to the Projects tab.

  2. Click Create Project.

  1. Enter the project name and select the project location.

  1. Add devices to the project by entering their model and serial numbers.

Device Configuration

  1. Select the project where you want to add or configure devices.

  2. Click on the specific device to open its configuration interface.

  3. Use the flow-based programming interface to define the device's logic, control schemes, and integration with other systems.

    • Logic Functions: Set up conditional operations based on sensor inputs or time schedules.

    • Math Functions: Implement calculations for data processing and control decisions.

    • Scene Creation: Define scenes that combine multiple device actions into a single command.

    • Protocol Gateway: Configure communication protocols for interoperability with other systems.

  4. Customize the user interface using the editable UI tools to fit the specific needs of the project.

Publishing and Monitoring

  1. Once configuration is complete, save the project.

  2. Click the Publish button to deploy the configuration to the device.

  3. Use the live monitoring tools in Skyplatform to observe real-time data flow and device status.

  4. Make any necessary adjustments online or offline and republish the changes as needed.
