# Controllers

All iNELS Wireless controllers — wall controllers, glass controllers, key fobs, the RF Pilot remote and controllers with their own output.

*Part 3 — Unit reference.*

Controllers are the **transmitters** you operate by hand: wall buttons, glass touch panels, key fobs and the RF Pilot remote. A press sends a radio command; the **receiver** (switch unit, dimmer, shutter unit) does the work. You connect a controller button to a receiver by **pairing** — see the [Pairing reference](/inels-home/inels-wireless/pairing-and-configuration.md). Detectors, input modules and sensors are also transmitters; they are listed on the [Transmitters](/inels-home/inels-wireless/devices/transmitters.md) page.
