Adding iNELS Units to Inspinia via MQTT

This manual provides a step-by-step guide to integrate iNELS units with the Inspinia system using MQTT. Before starting, ensure you have the following components:

  • iNELS Central Unit (CU3-07M, CU3-08M, CU3-09M, or CU3-10M)

  • iNELS Bridge (acting as the MQTT broker)

  • Inspinia Touch Unit (4, 8, or 10 inch)

  • Access to Skyplatform

Step 1: Select Units in iNELS Central Unit for Export in iDM

  1. Access iNELS Central Unit:

    • Connect to your iNELS Central Unit through the latest iDM and update the FW.

  2. Navigate to Export Settings:

    • Locate the configuration section where you can manage units for export. This is usually under device manager and third party settings in the CU configuration menu.

  3. Select Units:

    • Choose the units you want to export for use with Inspinia. Ensure all desired devices are selected for integration.

Step 2: Connect MQTT Broker Credentials in iDM in CU Configuration Tab

  1. Access CU Configuration:

    • Navigate to the CU configuration tab in iDM.

  2. Enter MQTT Broker Credentials:

    • Input the necessary MQTT broker credentials provided by your iNELS Bridge. This typically includes:

      • Broker address

      • Port number

      • Username

      • Password

    • Ensure all details are correctly entered to establish a successful connection save to CU and then save the project to CU.

Step 3: Add iNELS as a Device in Skyplatform

  1. Log in to Skyplatform:

    • Open your web browser and log in to your Skyplatform account.

  2. Navigate to Your Project:

    • Select the project where you want to add iNELS units.

  3. Add iNELS Device:

    • Locate the option to add a new device. Select iNELS from the list of device types.

Step 4: Enter Broker Credentials

  1. Input Broker Details:

    • Enter the MQTT broker credentials again as prompted. This ensures Skyplatform can communicate with the iNELS Bridge.

Step 5: Add a Unit from the List

  1. Select Unit:

    • From the list of available units, select the specific unit you wish to add.

  2. Enter Unit Details:

    • Input the MAC address and device address for the selected unit. These details are usually found in the unit's documentation or via the iNELS Central Unit interface.

  3. Save Configuration:

    • After entering the necessary details, save the configuration to add the unit to your Skyplatform project.

Step 6: Integrate Unit in Inspinia Design

  1. Open Design Plane:

    • In Skyplatform, navigate to the design section where you can manage and organize devices.

  2. Drag Device to Design Plane:

    • Select the newly added iNELS unit and drag it onto the design plane.

  3. Create Logic:

    • Integrate the unit with other objects in your design. This may involve setting up automation rules, linking with other devices, and configuring interaction logic.

  4. Finalize Design:

    • Review the design to ensure all connections and logic are correctly implemented. Save your design once satisfied.

By following these steps, you can successfully add iNELS units to the Inspinia system using MQTT. This integration allows you to manage and control iNELS devices seamlessly through Inspinia's interface.
